Whilst spending time with the Lord, I awaited another vision from the Kingdom. Yeshua redirected my prayer and He rested one of my very good friend's name heavily on my heart and the spirit started to overflow inside of me. I immediately knew I needed to intercede for this particular friend as he recently temporarily moved oversees for a job opportunity.
I started to pray for his spirit and for his protection. I prayed for wisdom and understanding to follow him. I also asked the Lord to equip him in these uncertain times. Afterwards I asked Yeshua if he needed me to intercede for His Bride, instead of receiving a vision as I normally do on a Saturday morning.
I then heard the Lord say:
“Yes. My word isn't only evidence of the EMET (truth) of my existence and the manifestation thereof. It is a PERFECTLY woven basket, with a thin, pure gold string woven from the beginning sentence, through every single word, to the last. It's filled with resources equipping my Bride, not only for the days to come, but for the days you are in. To intercede for each other and to specialize your prayers to break barriers and shift the levels of spiritual realms.”
Ephesians 3:19 TLV
”and to know the love of Messiah which surpasses knowledge, so you may be filled up with all the fullness of God.“
Jacob (James) 5:16-20 TLV
”So confess your offenses to one another and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous person is very powerful. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain. And it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months. He prayed again, and the sky gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit. My brothers and sisters, if any among you strays from the truth and someone turns him back, let him know that the one who turns a sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.“
One of the many sly ,and often effective, tactics of the enemy is the ability to numb our minds to the knowledge of the power our prayer holds. When we as Sons of God open our minds to the reality of being able to demolish the enemy with a couple of words, the threat level in the enemy's camps increase exponentially.
Luke 10:19 TLV
”Behold, I have given you authority to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.“
It saddens me to know that we tend to miss the opportunity of saving multiple souls , by not utilising our prayers. We have gotten into the habit of always wanting to "better ourselves" or "receive encouragement" through Gods Word. Although this is important, these are not the only things the word should teach us and is only one of the many responsibilities we have as Sons of God in the body of Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:20 TLV
”We are therefore ambassadors for Messiah, as though God were making His appeal through us. We beg you on behalf of Messiah, be reconciled to God.“
The Word of God instructs us to be our brother's keepers. In that we can see it is of utmost importance to pray for each other and intercede intentionally.
Don't fall for the tactics of the enemy. Don't forget how the Lord Yeshua equips you. He did not put you on this earth to have a life void of fighting for His people. He gave us the instructions clearly in His word to pick up our cross and follow Him (Matt 16:24). Don't stagnate and watch the calling go to someone more willing to do the will of the Father.
MAY WE NEVER MISS THE OPPORTUNITY TO INTERCEDE FOR HIS PEOPLE!
MAY WE ALWAYS BE WILLING TO FIGHT FOR OUR BROTHERS!
MAY WE ALWAYS UNDERSTAND THE IMMENSE POWER OUR PRAYER HOLDS!
